Evening Stars is a ministry of Fellowship Baptist Church that provides respite services once a month for families that have a child with a disability and their siblings. Families do not have to be church members to participate. The idea for this ministry was born out of a small study group’s desire to provide an outreach program for the community and show God’s love in a practical and meaningful way!
When is Evening Stars?
The Evening Stars program is held the fourth Friday of every month from 6:15 p.m. to 9:30 p.m.
Reservations are made by the second Friday of each month.
What happens while my child attends Evening Stars?
Our goal is to provide a ratio of 1:1 childcare for children with a disability in a
structured program that includes free play, Bible stories and crafts, snack time, and
special activities (like puppet shows), adapting to the individual needs of the child as required.
Children that are medically fragile or have profound disabilities will receive individualized
attention and activities.
We will strive to meet any special needs that a child may possess by having a volunteer nurse and MR/DD
specialists present at every Evening Stars event.
